JUNE

Family Fun Day - Saturday, June 13th

Congaree hosted a Family Fun Day at the Sandy Run Community Center to kick off Reach Point Ministries. The kids had a great time! There were so many things going on. We enjoyed the Orangeburg Line Dancers as they performed. That was tough in the heat. Thank goodness for a little shade. The magician did a marvelous job entertaining us. Tetarina the clown was adorable and she shared about Jesus one on one with the kids as she made their balloons and painted their faces. The Congaree Puppeteers entertained as well. Also, the Amick Junction singers did a great job. The kids most of all loved the bouncing house. The hotdogs were delicious. If you missed it, you missed a great time. So many adults helped to make this event a success.

Bible Camp - Sunday, June 14th to Wednesday, June 17th

This year we had "Bible Camp" instead of the usual VBS, and it was themed "Discover the Impossible in God's Word". It was a blast! We had Bible stories, recreation, crafts, and music. It was great for each of the adult Sunday School classes to provide and fix the food each night. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success.

JULY

Blowfish vs. USC Alumni - Friday, July 3rd

We'll be taking a busload to the game. $1.50 each to ride the bus or no more than $4.00 per family. The bus will leave the church at 5:40 pm, the game starts at 7:05 pm, and will be followed by independence fireworks. Tickets are: super box seats rows 1-4 - $7.00; All other seats - $5.00; $4.00 for seniors and children under 12. Be sure to bring money for any extras you may want to buy at the game.

Bible Meetings - Thursday, July 9th

Beginning Thursday, July 9th at 7:00 pm, we will have weekly Bible meetings hosted at Mrs. Cindy Redmond's home. Please join us and invite your friends as we seek to draw closer to the Lord through prayer, fellowship, and studying God's Word.

Women's Bible Study - Monday, July 13th

Beginning Monday, July 13th at 7:00 pm, we will have a weekly Bible study series just for the ladies at Mrs. Cindy Redmond's home.

Angel Food Ministries Distribution Day - Saturday, July 25th

Orders are due no later than Monday, July 13th at noon, and money is due with the order. Distribution day will be on Saturday, July 25th from 2 to 3 pm.

Camp Sonshine - Sunday, July 26th - Saturday, August 1st

Get ready - it's time for Camp Sonshine again! The younger children will leave July 26th and return July 29th. The youth will leave July 29th and return August 1st. Final deposits are due no later than July 12th.

AUGUST

The Big Youth Thing - Thursday, August 6th

Congaree are planning a trip to The Big Youth Thing at Carowinds. Anyone who wants to get discount tickets for $30 must sign up and pay for your ticket no later than July 15th. You can also purchase an unlimited food/drink wristband for an additional $18. This is looking to be a great time of fun and fellowship. Please see Roger for more info on this event.
